Today I’ll show you nearest street from our hotel. It’s just 2,3 minutes away from our hotel.
The name of street is Chuo-dori, the main street in Ginza, Tokyo, is closed to vehicle traffic on Saturdays and Sundays (and some holidays) from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM (or 6:00 PM depending on the season). This car-free period, known as Hokōsha Tengoku (歩行者天国) or Hokoten, creates a pedestrian-friendly zone where people can walk, shop, and enjoy street performances.
During these hours, the street transforms into a space for pedestrians, allowing for leisurely strolls and a more relaxed shopping experience. You’ll find people walking, browsing shops, and enjoying the atmosphere. Some cafes and restaurants may even set up tables and chairs in the middle of the street.
